One directory, organized the way the Keys work

KeysCompass groups practical travel information by island area, then by category. That lets a traveler see only Big Pine Key, compare public transportation across the chain or find a campsite near Marathon without sorting through mainland results.

The launch directory combines public OpenStreetMap data with listings reviewed against government agencies, park operators, transit providers and individual business websites. Every place page identifies its source and review date. Original guides add the planning judgment that raw listings cannot provide.

What “verified” means here

A verified-source label means the listing was enriched from a direct agency or operator source during the editorial review. It does not mean KeysCompass inspected the location in person, and it is never a guarantee that a business is open right now. Open-data listings come from OpenStreetMap contributors and may be less complete.

Designed for useful, responsible travel

The directory gives public services, health care, transportation, accessible facilities, wildlife guidance and boating safety the same attention as hotels and restaurants. Monetization may later include clearly separated advertising, but paid placement will not silently replace relevance or source quality.
